Many issues facing the world on a Rubik’s cube for solving; floating above the waiting world. My painting was entered into the ” Sustainability First ” Art Prize competition. I compared the problem of how we ensure a sustainable recovery after the crisis to solving a Rubik’s Cube which was a 3-D puzzle cube with 43.2 quintillion permutations. Also now entered into a competition organised by Wirtualne Muzeum Antropocenu in Poland , watch this space !

When we hear the word “sustainability” we think of renewable fuel sources, reducing carbon emissions, protecting environments and keeping the delicate ecosystems of our planet in balance. A recent Unesco report claimed that developing nations put proportionately more of their research effort into sustainability than richer countries.

The report, published every five years, tracks scientific research output.
