Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, model and singer. The idea behind this abstract painting came from the “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” song which she sung to John F Kennedy at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Although it lasted all of a minute, it remains one of Monroe’s enduring moments, no doubt because it serves as a reminder of her magnetism, her life in the spotlight and her link to another tragic life from that time.
